The electronic switch for controlling the pump operation, or in other words press control, provides the function of a pressure switch, thus allowing the automation of the operation of the electric water pump depending on the pressure drop and when the water flow in the distribution system is stopped (i.e. when the electrical contacts of the device are opened and closed) - it allows the pump or water plant to run automatically. The automatic, press control PC-59 with pressure gauge and self-start also provides dry-running protection - it switches off the pump when running without water. This protects the pump from damage that could occur when running without water. After switching off, it is restarted by pressing the RESET button. We recommend to use the automatic press control PC-59 with pressure gauge in clean water pipes free of dirt and sediments, otherwise it is necessary to install an appropriate filter on the inlet part of the device. The working setting of the control unit is from experience recommended max 6bar. When used with pumps that develop pressures higher than 6 BAR, we recommend fitting a pressure reducing valve in front of the control unit.
