PUMP

A pump is a device - a mechanical machine that supplies kinetic, potential or pressure energy to the fluid flowing through it. Liquid or gaseous substances (e.g. water) are transported with the help of a pump.

In principle, it uses negative pressure at the inlet to draw the liquid into the reservoir and subsequently excess pressure to expel it (discharge, leakage). An external force is used as the pump drive, e.g. electricity. In the past, hand pumps were the most common.

Pumps are used to pump water from wells, pools, but also rivers, reservoirs, etc. On the market you can find submersible or garden ones, i.e. surface ones.

When choosing a pump, think about where you will pump the water from.
Submersible - suitable for pumping water from a depth of 8 meters or more. They are used for classic wells.
Surface - pump water only to a depth of 8 meters. We recommend for drilled wells.

Degree of pollution of pumped water
Drinking - wells, reservoirs. Both surface and submersible pumps are suitable for pumping drinking water.
Utility - garden pools or rivers. Both surface and submersible pumps are used for service water. A filter prevents grass or leaves from entering the device.
Polluted - cesspools, tanks. To pump polluted, i.e., sewage water, sludge pumps with a grid are used, which allow only impurities of a certain size to pass through.
Material
Plastic - cheaper pumps, suitable for use in the garden, such as pumping water from a well, but also a river, etc.
Cast iron, stainless steel, etc. – robust pumps suitable for pumping sewage water or for 4-hour household supply.
