The direct valve has a coaxial flow direction at the inlet and outlet.
The corner valve has the flow direction at the outlet deviated from the direction at the inlet, usually by 90°.

The non-return valve allows flow in only one direction, it can also be made as a corner.
The three-way valve allows the flow to be divided into two pipe branches.
