This water meter shaft is made of 6 and 8 mm thick polypropylene plates, which are welded together. It is used for the location of the water meter when supplying objects to the water supply. The manhole is sufficiently reinforced and therefore in cases where there is no ground water and the manhole will not be mobile or located close to the road, it is sufficient to place the manhole on the underlying concrete and to fill it evenly with sand or sieved soil. Although the manhole is watertight, if groundwater is encountered, if the manhole is mobile, or if the manhole is located near a roadway, the manhole must be concreted and secured to prevent groundwater from penetrating the manhole walls. It is not recommended to use an incompletely backfilled water meter shaft, it could be damaged in winter. It is forbidden to handle this water meter shaft at temperatures lower than -3 °C.
